How To Draw Bread

The supplies you need for this drawing are:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Colored Pencil
  • Clipboard

Procedure:

  1. Start by drawing a squashed oval shape. This will serve as the top part of your bread or the loaf's crust.
  2. From both ends of the oval, draw two vertical lines going down. These signify the sides of your loaf.
  3. Connect both vertical lines at their bottom ends with a horizontal curve. The line should not be perfectly straight but a bit curvy. This completes the basic shape of your bread.
  4. Within the oval shape, draw another slightly smaller and narrower squashed oval. This outlines the crust area.
  5. For a more realistic touch, draw some curved lines or squiggly lines on the crust area. This represents the texture of the bread.
  6. If you want to depict a sliced bread loaf, draw straight lines across your bread on one side, making sure they line up with the shape of the bread.
  7. Add a few more lines within the bigger crust area and the smaller oval to offer more details, making it appear more realistic.
  8. If you want to color your bread, use lighter shades of brown for the main part of the bread and darker shades for the crust.
